We are actively recruiting postdoctoral researchers and graduate students with an interest in integrating biophysics and cell biology. We welcome you to visit the lab and meet the group.
Bin Xie's paper entitled Molecular mechanism for strengthening E-cadherin adhesion using a monoclonal antibody was published in PNAS on August 3rd 2022. Congratulations Bin!!!!
Andrew's and Ramesh's co-first author paper, entitled Cadherins can dimerize via asymmetric interactionswas published in the July 22nd issue of FEBS Letters. A figure from their article was also chosen as the journal cover image. Congratulations Andrew and Ramesh!!!!
Our new Leica STELLARIS 5 microscope has been installed in Room 49 Kemper Hall. Capable of three color laser scanning confocal, phase contrast and DIC imaging.
We are very excited to do new science with it.........
Ramesh's and Andrew's co-first author paper, entitled Inside-out regulation of E-cadherin conformation and adhesion was published in the July 27th issue of PNAS. Congratulations Ramesh and Andrew!!!
We have been awarded a new R01 grant from the NIH to study mechanosensitive cadherin adhesion and its regulation. Congratulations to all the lab members.
