Clara obtained her BS degree in computer science at NYCU in Taiwan and an MS degree in system biology at National Taiwan University. She worked for a year as a research assistant at Academia Sinica and joined UC Davis Biomedical Engineering Graduate Group in 2024. Her previous research projects include computational chemistry and drug discovery, investigation of bacterial promoter function through synthetic biology, and development of a long-term 3D tracking microscope for bacteria. Her current research will focus on developing and using advanced experimental systems including AFM-confocal microscopy to investigate cell-cell adhesion.
