Nishadi obtained her BS and MS degrees in Chemistry from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in Sri Lanka. Her previous research focused on computational studies on viral proteins. Nishadi joined the UC Davis Biophysics Graduate Group in 2022 as a graduate student. She joined the Sivasankar lab in the spring of 2023 and is currently characterizing the biophysics of desmosomal cadherin interactions.
