Prashant was born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal. He graduated with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Arkansas. His undergraduate research focused on CRISPR-Cas9 mediated gene repression techniques. Prashant joined the UC Davis Biomedical Engineering Graduate Group in 2021 as a graduate student. He is currently developing proximity labeling methods to monitor classical cadherin dimerization on live cell surfaces.
